I got high BP in my early 30s and have been on BP medication since then. Being an otherwise athletic person, the fact that I had to take daily pills did not sit well with me. Most of my previous doctors in had a very matter of fact approach, and to a young hypertension patient who loved to have a good life, it caused a lot of anxiety. 5 years back I consulted Dr Madhusudan Asawa. He has been very kind and patient and we have been working together to gradually bring down the daily dosage, and it has worked very well. He asks for further investigations like ECG and Echo only when really necessary and explains very well in layman terms for my understanding, whether the combination of medicine and daily diet and exercise routine has been working for the heart. We have also met him for my Mom’s regular check-up. She is in her mid-70s and still operates without any medication of any kind. I will highly recommend Dr Asswa for any Cardiology related issues. He has an excellent and huge clinic in the heart of the city near dandekar pul where you can meet him if you cannot make it during the daytime at the hospital.

Visited to Doctor to take opinion regarding implantation of Pacemaker as other Doctor suggested for it but he had not explained the reason and other things. Dr Madhusudan Asawa carefully listen the issue and explained us for requirement of the pacemaker and further he along with his team member implanted Pacemaker on Nov 2019. Post implantation father discharged and he was fine, after 2 weeks he complained about fever Doctor immediately attended us and suggest for admission. During admission a lot of investigation done but no infection noticed. His overall support during the entire investigation was excellent. First time I had seen that a doctor is taking so much step at their own and totally concern about his patient. His behavior is very polite and he is always contactable to his patient. My wife having uncontrolled blood pressure with too much fluctuation. I have consulted more than 10 cardiologists, but couldn't get relief. Dr Madhu asawa studied the all relevent report & previous treatment and listen the problem patiently. He did 24 hour BP testing and then Within 15 day Dr Asawa started treatment BP of my wife is come under control. I strongly recommend Dr Madhu for cardiac care. Best doctor I have met till now. Full of positive Vibes . Great doctor. He played a great role in my life by treating my mother so well. We met him in 2007 in Poona hospital when my father was admitted under Dr hire math with whom he was working at that time. Even then, he was so passionate and kind during rounds in hospital, always talking positively and encouraging my father. Few years later in 2014 when father had a fatal heart attack we went to Poona hospital where we again met Dr Asawa. My father could not make it to the cathlab, but Dr Asawa did everything he could that day. We have been following with him since for any cardiac related or other problem in our family. What sets him apart is his honest approach and ever helping nature. Twice we have had friends whom we recommended to him and who got their angioplasty done from him. Always positive feedback. I came in contact with him for my mother-in-law heart problem. Thanks to Dr.Asawa Madhusudan for correct diagnosis. My father was hospitalized and was undergoing treatment for breathelssness. He was been treated for asthma since 3 yrs for the same. Dr.Asawa Madhusudan examined him and diagnosed the issue as valve problem and helped us take decision for Mitral valve replacement operation. I am a physiotherapist who has practiced for many years in several hospitals across Puna and PCMC area. In this review, I would like to summarize my excellent experience with cardiologist, Dr. Madhusudan asawa. I have had two consultations with him at his clinic and in Poona hospital for preoperative consultation on 2D-Echo and ECG tests. The first one was before my laser ablation procedure earlier this year, and for the second time, more recently, prior to my upcoming carpal tunnel surgery. We often hear about fears of patients undergoing cardiac procedures like angioplasty and angiography. I, too, was apprehensive about my tests, and worried about a dire outcome. Throughout the assessment, the doctor assured me and explained in detail on what to expect. My assessment was thorough and I have been declared fit for surgery next week! Assuring the patient and explaining regarding the conditions, without exaggerating the problems, is a critical part of patient care. Dr. Asawa was meticulous in his assessment, with attention to detail and clarity of assessment/ explanation. In spite of having a heavy load of patients, Dr. Asawa was able to give adequate attention to patients, without the quality of treatment being compromised.
