I brought my Dad to emergency due to breathlessness and he was diagnosed with Cardiac Failure. Dr Asawa visited us in the CCU and explained the next steps so well that I didn’t even want to take second opinion. He explains the cause and treatment in very layman terms and keeps the risks transparent with the patient and attendants. He also gives reference of other cases which were successful and that helps a lot in building confidence with the patient. My Dad got an angioplasty done with 3 stents and he is completely recovered now. We are extremely happy with the kind of treatment and post treatment we received from Dr Madhusudan Asawa. We visited Dr Asawa in Poona hospital when my mother complained about breathlessness and tiredness in mid-June 2020. After 4 months of careful observation, she has undergone valve replacement when tiredness is unbearable. Our experience with the doctor are: 1. highly experienced professional in giving the best possible treatment 2. friendly and gives confidence to the patient which helps in quick recovery 3. highly knowledgeable in clarifying all the doubts very patiently and giving possible options 4. Empathetic, understands patients/patient's family members pain points and try to help them in all possible way (even after hospital hours). In my opinion, he is highly recommended cardiologist.

When I went to the Doctor 2 years back I was worried of health that too related to heart. His mode of examination, explanation & prescription and affectionate approach gave me positive hope, day by day. After 2 years of medication as per his prescription, I got sigh of relief to hear from him today that normalcy is regained. Initially, he gave appointments monthly, and then bimonthly & half-yearly. We are consulting Dr Madhusudan Asawa for last one year for my father's heart related issues. He was our third consultation, as we had consulted two doctors from reputed hospitals before. Although the previous doctors had diagnosed the issues accurately, they had advised to undergo angioplasty. But when we met Dr Madhusudan he studied the reports in detail and himself conducted 2D echo to understand the heart condition thoroughly and he explained the risk involved angioplasty considering my father's heart functioning condition. He advised for medication and regular follow-ups. Just recently conducted the 2D echo and there is remarkable progress in heart functioning of my father. Certain parameters, which were in severe stage last year, now has come to mild and moderate condition. This is where he stands out, i.e., in devising the 'intervention' based on patient's fitness and wellness. Also at times, especially last year, he was available on WhatsApp too by guiding and clarifying our doubts. I thank him for timely guidance and treatment and wish him for more strength to serve people. I definitely recommend him.

My wife has been a patient of NIDDM, Hypothyroidism and general weakness. Recently she developed high heart rate, chest pain and ischemic symptoms. ECG taken outside had shown ischemic changes and inferior wall changes. Someone suggested Dr asawa and we visited him immediately. He immediately took ECG, which was somewhat better than. Earlier one. Without relenting, Dr asawa took Echo also, which confirmed that there were no problems with heart except anginal pain. He apprised that only peripheral issues were there and everything is ok. His approach is plain and no unwarranted alerts and the best part is he has ECG, ECHO and TMT and the diagnosis is very fast due to it and the rates are also very reasonable. It’s a pro patient approach.
